HEADLINE: Republic Day Celebrated with Art.
The 102nd anniversary of our Republic was celebrated with a meaningful exhibition hosted by the Grand Harilton Hotel Istanbul.
The exhibition titled "Lines of Life" by Associate Professor Dr. Reyhan Uludağ, Head of the Department of Art and Culture Management at Istanbul Culture University and a master painter, opened to art lovers today.
The exhibition, featuring works reflecting the rhythm of modern life and the spirit of freedom of the Republic, will be open to visitors from October 29 to November 12, 2025.
Uludağ's oil paintings, which have been crowned with awards on international platforms, remind art lovers of the permanence of art in the lines of life.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Serdar Özyurt, the founder of the Grand Harilton Hotel and a businessman from Hatay, expressed the value they place on the Republic and art with the following words:
“The Republic is the most meaningful expression of being able to produce, think, and live freely in these lands.”
Art is the language and emotion of this freedom.
At Grand Harilton, preserving our national values through art and carrying our cultural heritage into the future is not only a responsibility but also a matter of heart for us.
One of the most meaningful moments of the opening was when painter Assoc. Prof. Dr. Reyhan Uludağ presented Serdar Özyurt with a special artwork. With this gesture, Uludağ symbolically immortalized the Grand Harilton Hotel's contribution to art.
“This exhibition is very precious to me,” said Reyhan Uludağ, continuing:
“One of the greatest values the Republic has bestowed upon us is the power of women to transform society through art, ideas, and production.”
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's appreciation for art and female artists is the source of inspiration for each of my works.
"The presence of women in art is the most powerful way to elevate society."
The exhibition features oil paintings created using various techniques, depicting silhouettes of Istanbul, historical buildings, lines, and human figures.
The Grand Harilton Hotel celebrated the 102nd anniversary of the Republic with art, showcasing a cultural approach rarely seen in the hospitality industry.
The exhibition, which can be visited free of charge until November 12th, offers you the opportunity to see the lines and unique expressions of Istanbul in the elegant lobby of the Grand Harilton.
